We are excited to announce a groundbreaking, first ever, online auction for Important 21st Century Realism hosted on Sothebys.com. Bids will be accepted during the exhibition dates. In person viewing will be available at Sotheby’s, NY from July 16th – July 26th, 2021. 28 works from the show will be included in the auction, but nearly 100 works from around the globe will be included in the exhibition and on public view, including an additional grouping of works, not included in the auction, that are also available for purchase through the show. Starting as only a murmur in the 1980’s, the 21st Century Representational Art Movement has grown exponentially along with interest and demand. Selected out of an original 4,941 entries from 83 countries and spanning six continents, the exhibition consists of many of the top winners and high-ranking finalists from the 15th International ARC Salon Competition. Over half the show is available for purchase with 28 of these participating in a first ever, online auction for Important 21st Century Realism hosted on Sothebys.com. Bids will be accepted during the July 16 – July 26 exhibition dates. The Art Renewal Center, (ARC) is a 501C3, non-profit educational foundation and the leader of the revival of Realism in Contemporary Art. Hosting the largest competition in the world for this exponentially growing art movement, the 15th International ARC Salon Competition received 4,941 entries from 83 countries and spanning six continents. Over 40 prestigious jurors participated in deliberations. These 91 works represent winners and high-ranking finalists of the competition.
Come and be amazed by this diverse grouping of artists of different ethnicities, genders and backgrounds from around the world, including numerous important, influential, and inspiring artists working within the realist tradition. We anticipate this public sale hosted by Sotheby’s will be the first of many.

Sotheby’s is pleased to present a virtual exhibition of the 14th International ARC Salon Competition, the largest and most prestigious competition in the world for realist artists painting, sculpting and drawing today. The competition is hosted by the Art Renewal Center, a non-profit, educational foundation leading the revival of realism in contemporary art. The competition consists of eleven categories, with thousands of works competing for the top awards; this year, the ARC received over 4,300 entries from 73 countries.
Ninety-nine works from around the globe were chosen for inclusion in the 14th International ARC Salon Exhibition. The show first opened in December 2019 at the European Museum of Modern Art, (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain – and now, Sotheby’s will celebrate the winning artists, and explore the majesty of the 21st Century Representational Art Movement.
This year’s Salon also includes a special event: The Art & Beauty Behind Fashion, presented in partnership with Fashion Week San Diego.

The Haitian Heritage Museum presents “Haiti A La Mode: Contemporary”, a group exhibition featuring works by renowned Haitian American visual artists Philippe Attie, Vanessa Craan, Morel Doucet, and Natacha Thys.
The show frames an exploration into the contemporary spectrum of works by Afro Caribbean Artists, and their role in Propelling Culture that shapes our communities.
The show runs from December 4 - April 25, 2020.
