Contemporary Realism: Important 21st Century Works | Hosted by Sotheby’s July 20, 2021 Imprints. oil on canvas. 30x40 in. 2020 We are excited to announce a groundbreaking, first ever, online auction for Important 21st Century Realism hosted on Sothebys.com. Bids will be accepted during the exhibition dates. In person viewing will be available at Sotheby’s, NY from July 16th – July 26th, 2021. 28 works from the show will be included in the auction, but nearly 100 works from around the globe will be included in the exhibition and on public view, including an additional grouping of works, not included in the auction, that are also available for purchase through the show. Starting as only a murmur in the 1980’s, the 21st Century Representational Art Movement has grown exponentially along with interest and demand. Selected out of an original 4,941 entries from 83 countries and spanning six continents, the exhibition consists of many of the top winners and high-ranking finalists from the 15th International ARC Salon Competition.
