"IMPRINTS"  IS GOING TO THE MOON!

I am very excited to inform you that an image of "Imprints" will be included in the Lunar Codex and headed for the moon!23 works from the 15th International ARC Salon Exhibition have been selected for inclusion in the Lunar Codex, “Nova Collection”. Art images will be laser-etched on a nickel microfiche, to be enclosed in a time capsule on a lunar lander, to be placed on the Moon in perpetuity. The Lunar Codex, which is including the work of 3,000 creatives, will be the first significant placement of contemporary arts on the Moon in 50 years. While focused on visual art, the Lunar Codex also includes a substantial collection of contemporary books, stories, poetry, music, essays, and more. Nova-C Lunar Lander launching via Space X Falcon 9 in early 2022, is headed for Oceanus Procellarum (Ocean of Storms). The launch and landing will be livestreamed

Haiti A La Mode, Opening Exhibition.

The Haitian Heritage Museum presents “Haiti A La Mode: Contemporary”, a group exhibition featuring works by renowned Haitian American visual artists Philippe Attie, Vanessa Craan, Morel Doucet, and Natacha Thys.

The show frames an exploration into the contemporary spectrum of works by Afro Caribbean Artists, and their role in Propelling Culture that shapes our communities.

The show runs from December 4 - April 25, 2020.

Sotheby's is pleased to present a virtual exhibition of the 14th International ARC Salon Competition, the largest and most prestigious competition in the world for realist artists painting, sculpting and drawing today. The competition is hosted by the Art Renewal Center, a non-profit, educational foundation leading the revival of realism in contemporary art. The competition consists of eleven categories, with thousands of works competing for the top awards; this year, the ARC received over 4,300 entries from 73 countries.

Ninety-nine works from around the globe were chosen for inclusion in the 14th International ARC Salon Exhibition. The show first opened in December 2019 at the European Museum of Modern Art, (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain – and now, Sotheby's will celebrate the winning artists, and explore the majesty of the 21st Century Representational Art Movement.

This year's Salon also includes a special event: The Art & Beauty Behind Fashion, presented in partnership with Fashion Week San Diego.

Award Ceremony 13th ARC International Salon · MEAM                        ( European Museum of Modern Art) Barcelona

ARC is pleased to present the winners and finalists of the 13th ARC Salon International Competition . This year, more than 3,750 works from 69 countries were presented. The finalists represent approximately 28% of the works submitted. ARC has acquired 11 new works for the ARC collection, valued at more than $ 118,000. The Best in Show went to Ming Yu, for his painting of In Bvlag, where Yu emphasizes light as a central focus. This masterful work rivals any portrait from previous or current centuries. The Bouguereau Award went to Katsu Nakajima, which takes place in the deep, vast and magical forest of Jukai, Japan. In addition to these awards, an Acquisition Award Awarded by the MEAM in Barcelona, ​​Spain, went to Casey Childs for his painting of Sliver.

Art Renewal Center will hold the official award ceremony for its winners at MEAM, after being exhibited in showrooms such as Salmagundi Club, New York, and Sotheby's, Los Angeles.
